Nice one! Dan Sartain's tour backing band! They also name-check Husker Du and Fugazi so I'm happy enough to give it a spin. Fugazi references are pretty thick on the ground I have to say, starting with the swirl of the guitars on As the Pinson Turns and the song structure of Losed. This is a committed record as anyone listening to the vocal attack on Red: the New Black will testify.

It is also interesting to see this full blooded approach sitting very comfortably within some fairly unconventional song structures. Tracks dip and swirl, and seem to be happily ensconced in very organic changes of tempo and key. Nothing feels forced, despite the obvious commitment check the Unmoved Mover out for proof.

If you like your rock sounding left-field, independent and noisy, this is one for you.
