Well, here I am again, ready for the summers´pissed up `dance gatherings` (is that the word the youth of today use? I should remember, seeing as I am one of their number…)
Here are five cracking records that´ll get you in the mood for the summer.
2nd Shift, feat. Heather; “Are You Ready for the Future?” (Seasons Recordings). A 3 track deep house wonder, masterminded by JT Donaldson and Tim Shumaker. Vocals by, (guess), Heather.
Eddie Matos; “Music for the Soul” (Seasons Recordings). A bit of Latin House with a rather fetching Cuban piano, I feel.
DJ Grobas; “Feel Da Bas” (House Cafe Music) Three great funky house mixing, reworked by 2nd Shift, who adds a touch of deep house (God, I could become a food critic the way I´m writing this).
Soda inc.; “Full MOon Remixed” (Plastic City) This rather delicious proposal includes a tech house mix by 5- Sentinals and a funky house mix by Greenkeepers.
Vibeselect; “Presents” (Dufflebas Recordings) Marvellous West Coast house lp with tracks by Cory Wells and Jahques.
