Epsilons – Killed Em Deader ‘N A Six Card Poker Hand.

Epsilons don’t mess about that’s for sure. You get twelve songs in twenty odd minutes, all revelling in a tinny, primeval gloop.

I think, all things considered, I should keep this review as short as the record. So, how to describe Killed Em Deader ‘N A Six Card Poker Hand? Deranged garage, replete with Seeds organ sound? A frenzied, amphetamine-enhanced guitar rush? Yes to both. Epsilons don’t mess about that’s for sure. You get twelve songs in twenty odd minutes, all revelling in a tinny, primeval gloop. This is not to say I disapprove, far from it. Seaview, Wilson? YIELD! is as fine and as raucous an instrumental as you’ll find outside your Dick Dale LP collection. The accent is on noisy fun, and in that respect the band delivers in truckloads. The opener I Hate (Your Face) is pretty tremendous as is their skewed attempt at teen pop; Sunshine. One for demented parties I’d say.
