This is a breezy EP and no mistake. There’s a jauntiness about this record (especially In The Forest) that reminds me of the Soft Boys at their most playful. Or something gauche from a Rubble compilation. It is psychedelic in feel, especially the energetic Doomsday and it isn’t really straight down the line guitar pop, but for all the nods towards Barrett, Hillage & Allen, there are surreptitious glances towards standard bands like Maccabees et al.
