A very nice record indeed. An undemanding listen if you are undemanding, and sympathetic presence if you are looking for something more. The LP is very much in thrall to the notion of gentle country-folk, Neil Young-style. And to be fair to the band, they stick doggedly to a formula they know they can deliver on. The opener As Long As It Takes has it all really, a nice simple melody line, good harmonies and a very good refrain with what sounds like a muted trumpet. But don’t quote me on that.

Despite its undoubted charm, can be a little one-paced: (the track Time’s Ticking is a very good indication of what this listener thought whilst listening), and the philosophy is very homespun; you wonder just how many communes this lot have lived in whilst listening to stuff like Without a Doubt and My Apologies… But still, Reunite and the wonderful I’m Coming Home are marvellous tracks, regardless of the wide-eyed wonder stuff.

Honest, simple and affecting in parts. Worth a listen if you like that homespun vibe.
