A scorching month behind us bodes well for the rest of the summer festivals does it not? At least, let’s hope we have the weather for Metropolis & Werfpop we had at Park Pop, and the same level of performance too. Elvis Costello and Tokyo Ska Paradise were fab in the Hague last month. We have some blinding interviews for you this month, all of which are the result of some fine detective work on the part of our roving reporters, and some plain good old fashioned boozing with the bands when it came down to it. Check them all out, you won’t be disappointed.

I think that we will be launching our monthly offers page this month, (yes yes I say that EVERY time, but I think we are nearly ready to rumble on it). Signed stuff from the Kills and I Am Kloot. The competition will be a caption one, which will be posted up very soon. Anyone interested?

Hey we’ve got an incendiary exclusive here; a review of the new Rakes album! I know we keep banging on about them, but they could just be the best thing out of the UK for years, (well, since the mighty Sea Power) despite being trendy. They have a certain something that is very precious. If you think they are paying me off, I can promise you now that I still live in a hovel…

Have a great summer.
