Gosh, aren’t you all such lucky people? Not only in reading the April edition of Incendiary, (which, come to think of it, is one of the few good things around on this planet), but also lucky in the knowledge that a really cool festival season kicks off in April, with two killer events to get you all ready for summer.
First up is the Toon festival which, once again, is hosted in Haarlem. Replete with it’s mixture of avant garde art and sounds, this is definitely one concert not to be missed. Last year’s Toon fest was, for me, possibly the best night out of the year, so I for one can’t wait. It runs on the 7th and 9th April. What could possibly follow Toon? Well, try Motel Mozaique in Rotterdam on 15th and 16th April. A must for all scene heads, MM boasts performances from (amongst others) British Sea Power, Little Barrie, Gruff Rhys, and LCD Soundsystem. Can’t miss that now can you? Oh, heck, did I forget to mention London calling at the Paradiso? Well that’s on the 29th/30th April and should see most of the Randstad’s scene heads piling through the hallowed Paradiso portals. Check www.paradiso.nl for details.
