A fun, if short EP – with plenty to offer those who enjoy a salty blast of acid-blues. At times the record, especially the opener Bogus Man, doesn’t half remind me of Big Eyed Beans from Venus, but I’m not gong to say that’s a bad thing. No, it’s a spiky, acerbic stomp with lots of hollering and spittle, which is just grand. Crime Scene is a rockin’stroll down to the corner shop to get some fags; now sounding less like the good Captain than a punky, underpowered Gallon Drunk.
Highlight for me though is the chirpy mess of Midget Mummy Child, which growls and blunders around like a bad tempered Orc for two minutes or so. It’s great, messy stuff.
