A classic EP; truly classic. And fuck knows how I missed this last year. EP is a collection of breakneck, Seeds-style howling; although 100 times more deranged than Saxon’s lot in execution – it’s just that you can’t help noticing that organ sound… They obviously dig psych-outs (as indeed all true Heads should, it’s the fountain-head of all great alternative rock) and there’s plenty of proof here with the absolutely marvellous Until the Sun Dies and the last track (possibly the best on here), Parting Song for the Torn Sky. There’s drama too, with the cod-theatre of tracks like Vexation and the one slowie, Owl.
It’s snotty, stuck in top gear and utterly knock-out.
