No Age – Losing Feeling

Are we still supposed to like No Age, or have they had their allotted 5 minutes? Those seeking further kicks will miss out on a tremendous EP, which in my humble opinion achieves far more than their LP did.
Opener Loosing Feeling soon shakes off a quiet opening, preferring to be propelled to a very satisfactory conclusion by a muscular wall of growling guitars. Genie is a slacker lament, guitar providing a wobbly prop for some deliberately whiny vocals. Aim at the Airport is a collage of woozy noises ended by a walk on a beach, whilst final track You’re a Target is a wonderfully brash knock about with great pop charm, Revolver turned up to 11. Yes it is very much in the mode of My Bloody Valentine, but in a supportive, positive way rather than being a Xerox-style work out…
I’d get this, whether you think it’s fashionable or not.
