So, we can safely predict a release that will work well in the company of a glass of red wine on a terrace, whilst idly turning the pages of the Sunday papers.

This is a great LP, we liked some of Helado Negro’s earlier work too, but this one has a certain something about t.t that sets it apart. I think that’s because it’s charming. Invisible Life is able to make you feel at ease, its diffidence and unwillingness to browbeat you is translated into some beguiling melodies backed up by an element of daftness in the instrumentation. As such it’s a superb soundtrack to a lazy day.
The opener Ilumina Vos appropriates the melody line of Duran Duran’s awful Wild Boys and constructs something infinitely more appealing from it. You end up whistling along soon enough, I promise. Following that seductive beginning, we get a whole host of songs following a similar vein. Lentamente is an impish shuffle full of squidgy noises and beats. Dance Ghost, Junes and Catastrophe in particular are woozy, dreamy synth work outs that tread a fine if often ill-defined line between presenting a simple song and making *superstoned* bedroom electronica. Relatives is a pop song of sorts – one that is content to potter about on the edge of your consciousness. Pleasant stuff.

In fact I can see myself harrumphing over the iniquities of the press whilst listening to hazy, affable tracks like Arboles or U Heard as I type this. Could any scenario be finer? Take the simple pleasures whilst they last.
