August News

It may be a quiet month on the gig front in the flat lands, but never mind, you’ve got this new edition of Incendiary to keep your minds busy this August. We’ve got some great reports from the many festivals we’ve seen this last month, as well as some fabulous interviews. You know what they say about drummers? Well, check out the interview (I’m not telling you which band, you’ll have to read them all) where a certain basher of the skins states his favourite rodent is a cat. Marvellous.

Hopefully Lowlands will provide us all with plenty of frills on the weekend of the 19th and 20th; we’ll be watching it on the telly safe in the comfort of our own homes, (having recovered from the excess of the Haldern festival earlier in the month). If anyone fancies meeting up in Amsterdam, the spiritual leader of the magazine, Mr Jon Dekel, flies in to celebrate his 21st birthday on the Lowlands weekend with all his Incendiary chums. Email us, and come and say hello (well, you can say hello; we’ll see if we’re able to speak without slurring). The ten day long Lokersefeest in Belgium also looks good, with Iggy and the Cure playing, all for 20 euros per day. So it’s a case of take your pick!

Yours, Richard.
